How can I fix my Securitech Active 5 + Rascal Super ?

We moved into a bungalow 18 months ago and there were no instructions for the Active 5 system.
There is a switch in the loft which when used gives an constant internal alarm but no other signs of life.
Has anyone had similar or knows how to fix.
I may call the number given as this guy seems a real gem
