hot water?

cant get hot water i have to have the heating on to get hot water,its an old boiler but serviced often not a plummer but told the boilers fine

This sounds like your motorised valve is faulty. Replace and you should solve the problem

need more information Make and model of boiler and wheather combi or system or do you have hot water tank etc.
