how to clear delonghi dishwasher e4 error code?

i have a delonghi dw 67s dishwasher and the error code says overfilled - too much inlet water but the dishwasher is empty - how do we clear it.

Just had this happen. The advice to clear the filter, power off, tilt about 20 deg to either side (be prepared for a bit of water to flow out) worked a treat. Dishwasher is now working again.

Catseye's technique seems to have worked for me as well for my DEDW4510S. Firstly, I did the 20 degree tilt left, then again right.

A lot of water seemed to mostly come out of the outlet tube when we lay it flat on the ground as well. Did everything we could to try and drain the inlet tube with minimal success.

After switching it back on and running a rapid cycle so far so good.

Catseye’s comment regarding tipping the dishwasher to reset the sensor worked perfectly.
There was water that came out when we did this and that seemed to reset the E4 error.
Excellent thanks

Note that the float switch in a DEDW645 closes when the foam disk rises because of water in the well. This also means that if the wires to the switch get cut the machine will show an E4 fault. The well, switch and access to the heater element are via a removable plastic plate underneath the machine. Turn onto one side to remove the plastic plate.

This can be caused by the flood sensor float in the bottom either getting flooded or stuck. Try turning off the power at the wall then tilting the dishwasher to about 20 degrees. Some water may run out from underneath so be prepared for it. Once you have done that, stand it back on its feet and switch the power back on. The error code should have vanished. Now run a short cycle to test it. If the error code returns, it's likely you have a slow leak from one of the hoses or valves underneath causing water to build up in the catch tray. The water lifts the flood sensor float and
triggers the error code.

It could be the wiring at the bottom of the door,.
when you open the door right open the wires stretch and there is a sharp edge that rubs through cutting the wires causing the E4 error
check the wires are not cut
This is what happend on mine
