Mend Hotpoint WT741 Washing Machine Spin Cycle Error

How do I get a new programme when it is stuck on the same programme?

the hotpoint WT741 was turned off at the mains and when turned back on is stuck on 01 which I assumed was one min left on a cycle. When switched on it goes in to fast spin and wont come off. cant get it on to any other programme even when turned off at the mains for 10 or so mins and turned back on again. Any ideas?
