zafira turbo ?

i have recently bought a zafira turbo and noticed a light has come on the dash spanner shaped, also the car really lacks power with a bad smell of oil, i have checked all pipework for splits ect checked for leaks on manifold any ideas on a quick fix or is this a big garage job thanks
