Jam Error !?

I have an Epson cx21n which was jammed with several sheets of card. I cleared the jam from all areas stated but the error code still shows which means I cannot print anything out. I have turned it off and unplugged the power cable also turned the paper feed roll as suggested by Epson support. Any ideas as I do not want to have to send it away for repair. Thanks in advance for any help
