when someone presses the outside button the handset in the house just clicks quietly but doesn't buzz as it should do. Any ideas how I can fix it myself?
Its not the call wire as your handset clicks when pressed....it sounds more like the ac buzzer on your handset is faulty....remove handset lid and hold metal contacts together whilst button is being pressed at front door panel.refit lid job done. If your hset is a tone (rings like a phone instead of buzzing) it may be something different.

I love door entry systems. Two possibilities, handset needs replacing, or the call wire is faulty.
