The DVD player has suddenly stopped responding to the remote control (yes, I've changed the batteries). The display on the player alternates between 'DVD 1' and '13'. We can play DVDs by using the buttons on the player, but cannot play back recordings (through the navigator) or record. Any suggestions?
You need to switch your remote control to dvd 1 bypressing the enter button and the 1 button at the same time for several secconds, it's a pain you may have to try several times

Found the answer:
Press "enter" and "3" on the remote control for three seconds and the problem was solved.
