Mend Kenmore 80 series Wont Shut Off

Wont Shut off?

My Kenmore 80 series Dryer runs a cycle however it wont shut off the dial stays on "off" for about 5 minutes then proceeds to the next drying cycle. the only way to keep it from turning on is to keep the door open .... HELP
