worcester junior 28i have heating but no hot water?

can anyone help?
for 2 days have had no hot water, the heating is working fine but as soon as i turn a hot tap on upstairs or downstairs the red warning light flashes and the heating goes off too. if i try the hot water without the heating on the red warning light still flashes
