how do you change from tax system to vat system?

Assuming your register is already correctly set up to use the VAT tax system, the procedure to change the tax rate is:

1) Turn the key to the PGM position.
2) Press the #/TM/SBTL key. Enter a 9. Press the AT/FOR key.
2) Enter the tax rate number you wish to set (e.g. for tax rate 1 enter a 1, for tax rate 2 enter a 2, etc.), press the AT/FOR key.
3) Enter the tax rate as a percent with a decimal point. Ex. 17.5% would be entered as 17.5. Press the AT/FOR key.
4) Enter the lowest taxable amount. For example, if your area doesn't charge tax on amounts less than 0.50 you would enter that amount. If your area charges tax on all amounts, enter 0.01 .
5) Press the #/TM/SBTL key. Press the CA/AT/NS key.
