the plastic would not enter the motor only the fan chamber and the next stop is the bag. could be the plastic has jammed the brush roller or the suction fan. remove the nozzle plate from the base and check the brushroll turns and the fan pulley where the belt attaches turns too. it owlud hel to have the model number
