Mend Galaxy G9000 Turn Water Bit

Galaxy G9000 overheats when switched off???

When I turn the unit off it continues to overheat the water in the unit. It make quite a bit of noise which sounds like the water is boiling. I have been switching the electric supply on and off to use it and it works ok. Any ideas??
