Hi all,
I have a differant problem,my 8yr old son droped my KT12ad on the alloy housing that the starter rope and spring is in and has broken it beyond repair (weldable) so if any of you guys know where I could get hold of another housing or complete motor for parts please drop me a line as this was handed down from my dad and he is now gone and I really enjoy using this brushcutter .

I've just bought a Danarm hedge trimmer fitted with a Kawasaki KT12AD 2-stroke engine and mine is also behaving in the same way. Judging by the length of time it runs, I suspect the diaphragm in the carb is punctured. If I manage to locate a supplier for a carburettor repair kit I will post the details for you. Otherwise it's a question of making a diaphragm...
