Ford 600 CD Radio Volume problem?

The volume keeps increasing on its own. The only think I can do at present is switch it off.

Any ideas?

I have a ford galaxy with the same problem, the volume intermitently goes very high. May happen frequently over a few miles but then doesn't happen again for say 30 mins.
Nothing to do with AVC which is switched off and volume change is anyway far too great, often goes from 10 to 20 or more.

On some models of ford the radio volume is dependant on road speed (as you go faster the volume increase's) so it might be connected to a faulty output from the speed sensor
