tv screen has been hit?

hi, i have a goodmans LCD tv and am wondering if anyone can help me, my screen took a hit a couple of days ago and now it looks like it has smashed, the screen isnt smashed but there is lines of colour all over the screen,it looks fine when it is turned off,but as soon as you turn it on, it looks like it has cracks all over the screen,the sound is fine but you cannot make out the picture, does anyone know what the part is called that needs replacing?
