Hi there, I bought a ford Ka and Cd player says locked on the display and I can´t put any code in even if I have the right one because a found a sticker with unit type FD600A, Ser. number M000456 and key code 1211. Can anyone help me? Mechanic from Ford told me to replace the radio but is it neccessary? Thanks for any help
1211 is the correct code for that serial number. I would not have thought that binning the radio would be necessary. Not sure why you cant enter the code though. Might be worth calling in to a decoding place and tell them you know the code but can't input it, they may be able to throw some light on the problem and even if they charge you to do it should work out a lot cheaper than a new radio.
