bush plasma 42" tv inverter board????

backlight inverter or inverter board are the same , just different name and there are other named for the same part but a common fault in flat screnn tv. sound but no picture(or picture sometime). could be a dry weld on one of the component due to heat. can be expensive to have fixed but if you are handy with a soldering iron and a volt meter you can fix it yourself...i know because fixed mine for just a few £.
if the fault is intermittent then probably dry weld. simple , inside the tv you will see a board with a row of big black square or rectangular component, take your soldering iron and redo the welds on all the legs.
if the fault is permanent then one of the same big black component is faulty. use your volt meter and test resistence between opposite legs...if meter stay at 0 then you found the faulty one. a trick to removed component...heat up the weld and blast with compressed air . it will remove the weld...when all the legs are free remove component and fit a new one and voila...should work...worked for my tv...good luck.
