Portable DVD player parts?

Where can we get replacement parts for an Emerson PDE-2725n portable dvd player? Two screens 7". It is just a broken door that holds the DVD in nothing major but the company said it would be $195 for repair. We have only used once.

The power cord from the cig outlet to the player is not a transformer. My kids broke both that and the cord between the screens. I cut and re-soldered the wires with headphone versions. That way the connectors were 90 degree'd in stead of a straight. It's held up much better now. I just wish the cig jack was 90 degrees too.

The number on the box sells parts. I needed a screen power cable. The number is 866-553-7522. I hope this helps. I called for the cable, but they are out of stock for two weeks.
