Following winter lay up our V100 leaked also. We fixed it by replacing the 2 rubber washers with 2 "whale" washers, smeared them and the inside of the unit with washing up liquid and hey presto. Must say after reading some of these forums thought that we'd end up buying a new unit - but never give up.

forget it -you cannot obtain any spares atall.it is usually the 2 rubber washers that have perished i have tried every place but ordinary washers are too fat when in groove

Name is Mike,before you buy a new mixer, (as far as I know you can not get spares for these units, I have tried) I have now repaired 3 of these units, in each case the problem was caused by a blocked hot water inlet, it seems that the frost causes the limescale depositsto break up and seperate from the pipework and bloke the hot water filter. if you need to check the thermostat unit,, remove it from the mixer body, place it under a very hot water tap, you can then see if the thermostat valve opens, if it does, then run it under a cold water tap and you should see it shut,if it works, check the "o" ring seals, replace if required,smear a little fairey liquid on them, and replace the unit,the thermostat unit are quire robust, and designed to work at quite large temp.swings so the frost should not damage them, as I said the most likely cause is a bloked hot water inlet filter, hopes this helps, Mike

short term remedy if you dont want to buy a new one is to swap your hot and cold inlet connections over so as you get hot water,you can then regulate your hot water temperature from your boiler

I have the same problem, so I dismantled the mixer and discovered that the non-return valve is damaged. If you blow into the cold inlet and then the hot inlet you will see the difference. Check your manual for a a break down of components. Careful taking off the tails (inlets). It calls for a large allen key. I used an adjustable plumbing wrench, but wrapped the tails in a folded paper towel so as not to damage the threads.

Now I just have to source the valves in a specialist plumbing suppliers.

I to have had a problem with the V100 mixer valve, I have found out that this unit is made in Italy and no one in the UK stock spares. As I see it replacing the unit is the only option, cost approx £80.00.

I have had frozen ones to repair and have had to replace complete unit,all for the sake of the two brass connectors splitting,emailed Arleigh but they have not had decency to reply yet,instructions say you can replace components,but no contact details!
