Thanks for that 'ck'. I'll have a go this weekend. I've been quoted in region of £140 with engineers talking about condenser units & valves. Seems a lot of money for what sounds on the face of it (don't they always!) a simple fix.

the condenser unit is inside the case at the back right as you look from the front.they usually need flushing out with a hose and no new part is required.you take the back half of the cabinet off to get access to the condensor.
