by laying it on is side could of allowed oil from compressor to go in to the pipework.if oil has gone in to pipework it will more or less of killed it.standing it for a wk or two in a bid that the oil returns to the compressor is the only solution as it isn't something that anyone can get access too to repair.you might of damaged this beyond repair!
