In the few cars I've owned two of them have had a failing clutch - first noticeable (to me) when attempting hills - once noticed gets worse quite quickly.

just up hills? sounds like its struggling to get enough fuel under strain. Is there any apparent leak? If there is no leak, are all your coil packs in good working order?
