small black box the lower right hand corner o a sony pip xbr ?

When I got this tv ,it didn;t have that and now it does when you turn it on it displays video1
on the top of it but goes away in a few seconds, but the black box remains, ive tried many things to get rid of it but to no avail , if anyone knows how to get it off i would apreciate it . unfortunatey I can;t find the model number, nor do i have the remote it came with Thanks Jim Moran it also says its a sound retrieval system advanced pip
