why wont my frontera start vauxhaull frontera R reg 2.5 turbo?

when you go to start it turns over but wont start every time once you get it started it will go all day but leave it over night to start it next day it wont start the starter turns over but wont fire up we have checked the battery and fuel filter its none of these please help thanks
