oreck xl commercial?

I have had my ORECK 12 years. Because I keep it so clean, I have never had a problem with it, no trips to the repair shop, nothing. Suddenly it stopped sucking. I took it apart replaced everything, plugged it in, put a smalll piece of paper in front of the suction area and it blew the paper out. The MOTOR is runnning strong. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE? It seems like the motor is running backwards instead of forward. THANK-YOU in advance
