How to reset timing on Briggs and Stratton lawn mower engine?

hi, your crankshaft and your camshaft has a mark on the side of the drive gears that has to be inline to time these up, this should do the trick, when you first took these items out ,the engine should have been on top dead center i think and should be the same when you put them back. watch out when you put back for the lube system is in ok, hope it works

There will be a dot on the gear fitted to the crankshaft, and two dots on the cam shaft, just set the one dot between the two dots.
