I've tried EVERYTHING including a screwdriver, letter opener and my scratched up fingers!! When I take off the front of the tv, the whole screen comes with it. I've given up trying to get my precious vacation tape out of the darn thing!
Got any ideas??

First, you must take off the cover. Then look for a big metal rectangle (it's unmissable!) and to the right of it (looking at it from above and front,) you will see a gear. Around that area you will see and elastic band(?) connected to it. Pull back on it and the video will start to lift up and eject. Just think like you are reversing time.

There is no simple DIY method to extract a jammed cassette.
It's likely you will need to take it for servicing.
Panasonic released a repair kit for some of there popular combi models. (I believe for intermittent jamming, simply due to catching on the door flap).
