Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 Series Washer?

My washer stopped operating in the middle of the wash cycle. It wont do anything but make a buzzing noise now. Do these washers have belts or could the motor of gone out?

Hello,

Need a model number to tell you if if has a belt or a drive coupling. A bad motor can buzz and shut down when it heats up on its overload switch. Once the motor cools it will start again only to shut down again once it gets hot.
