try changing the 4 x 10v 1000uf electolytic caps on the psu board. very simple for anybody with electronic experience. i used 16v 1000uf caps from maplin at 37p each

Hi. My freeview box has stoppped working. I tried unplugging it from the mains then plugging it back in. Somehow I couldn't reset it still. The green light remains on and I get the grey screen. Hope you can help me with this. Could it be a problem with the box?

try unplugging it from the mains for 30 seconds or so and then plug it back in. this should reset it. also check the scart lead hasnt come loose.
