will not start?

Hi, I have a S reg finness 1.3 and the car will run fine and then when you stop and turn the car off she will not start again, I,m sure its to do will the fuel pump as I cannot hear it kick in when the ignition it put on, I try after leaving it over night and hey presto she will start....I have also tried resetting the cut of button by the passenger pillar.....any Idea's PLEASE..... I have also replaced the fuel pump relay...
