I find to start the scooter i have to have the throttle wide open for qiate a time before it starts i have the mixture screw turned out 1+1/4 turns if i turn it out more do you think it might start easier once it has started it's ok but try to start a couple hours later and it's hard to start again if i take the plug out it is wet i then put another plug in and it will start.

the mixture screw should be set at 2.5 turns out on this carb

is your fuel tap staying on and flooding the crankcase? it sounds like it! take top pipe off the fuel tap and if you have fuel coming out when the bike doesnt run then it is faulty, also check the float in the carb isnt sticking the needle might be stuck!!!
