how do i fix dimplex storage heater xms724n?

the light comes on but heater not heating up

Dimplex Heating, Convector Heaters Heater Light Heating

I've bought the repair kit and installed it however my xms724n still doesnt work. I have no idea what to do, it's just outside manufacturers warranty and feels a waste to shell out for another heater within 18months... ANY HELP GREATLY APPRICIATED!

the XMS had a problem with the thermostats burning up,there is an upgrade kit available, part No XL9001
