There are a couple of fuses on the main board that can go bad on this model and cause no picture. If you're handy and can work on this stuff, I'll show you what fuses. www.nabilselectronics.com

This is a common problem on the slim PS2. I'm assuming you checked your cable to the TV and made sure the TV is set to the correct input. Normally, what happens is a fuse (sometimes more than one fuse) blows on the main circuit board and causes no video. We do this repair often in our shop. But I doubt you can take apart your unit and locate, test and replace the open fuse. The price for fixing this problem is cheap. AZtech at aol.com

I have had a similar problem occasionally - Check the ariel/scart lead connection in the back of the PS2 as if slightly moved/worked loose will cause this problem
