How to fix my John Lewis washing machine JLWM1202?

When a wash had finished I went to switch off the machine with the dial but the lights started flashing and the door lock was clicking on and off. Then there was a small bang and a burning smell and the machine was dead. On investigation we found parts of the pcb module had blown, so we have replaced this board, but there is still no life so something else must have blown with it.

Sounds like the door lock is faulty although if you fitted a new main control pcb back to a faulty door lock you might of killed the new main pcb????.Your only option is to change door lock and pray no damage has been done!
