dell 1501 laptop?

i have a dell 1501 laptop and it keeps saying no hard drive install.it can't find the hard drive.i have trid other drives and get the same reply.

your hard drive could be dead, my dell was saying (ctrl alt delete ) on start up , i tryed to restall xp with the disk, and it said hard drive not found, " so i got it tested and it was dead , got a new hard drive on line for £50 . and workrd fine , the labtop was 2 years old , go to Utube and look up the model you have and you will see were the hard drive is , it should be in the side of labtop , 2 screws in it , and it slides out . good luck ,,,
