I don´t seem to get any spark, should the wire to the coil give + when i pull the string to start,

, i got the spark now and it strats up if i use the prime, but stop almost right away. I cleaned the carb and air filter but dont seem to matter. What could be the problem. And how do I mesure the oil ?

The wire from the coil is just an earth cut out, it will carry a small amount of current, if you diss connect this wire and there is still no spark, it is a bad ignition unit
