Mend Diplomat 8112 Dishwasher Burning Smell No Water

My Diplomat integrated dishwasher, model 8112, has no water?

This has suddenly happened- I smelled burning and when I opened it I saw that whilst it was heating up , there was no water for it to heat up (causing the burning smell).

Any help gratefully received
