Does my Ford cd changer have a different code to the head unit ?

I have a 04 (2004) Ford Mondeo ST220 with a factory fitted touchscreen sat nav etc.
The CD changer is broken and I have replaced it with an identical model (06 2006) however when i installed it I am receiving an error code "CDDJ"
Part no. for the new unit is 3S7T-18C830-BD and it is manufactured by Alpine for Ford
Serial No. C30831214
