How can I fix my fridge freezer?

My hotpoint fridge freezer is broken. It is a frost free model and the fridge works but the freezer was making a noise. The noise stopped suddenly and since then the red alert light is on indicating that the freezer temp is high and the inside is not cold at all. I would like to know if it sounds as though it is worth repairing or whether the motor is broken. The fridge works perfectly well.

you could try defrosting your freezer but you would need storage to place all the other frozen food
