like crispy said it could be carb balancing being out that is making it run crappy low down but these also suffer from the needle jets going oval due to the needles rubbing against them as the air is drawn past them through the venturi,is basically makes the hole bigger than it should be and overfuels,at high revs it will run ok sometimes even better a bit like a dynojet kit but at low revs it will run like a bag of shi*.the needle jet is the jet that the main jet screws into its sometimes known as an emulsion tube.you can taqke it out and check it by taking a float bowl off and then taking the main jet out then undo the top cap off the carb and take the diaphragm+slide out then pull the greyish plastic square shaped bit out it will lift the needle jet out with it,then check the shape of the hole in the jet at the top and if its at all oval replace it,i have done loads of them in the past as i used to work in a suzuki dealers and have a diploma from suzuki.bandits are also prone to it.

Hi, if the rest of the engine is in good running order such as good fuel delivery, correct mixture, valve clearances and ignition etc then I would suggest beg, steal or borrow a set of vacuum gauges to balance the carbs.good luck.
