How can I fix my 1997 ford transit banana engine/white smoke coming out... ?
1997 ford Transit 2.50 d Has to turn over about 10 times to start. Engine not catching up with the accelerator for the first few minutes. Some smoke coming out of the rocker cover and white smoke coming out of the exhaust.
Engine shudders at certain revs.
had a transit with terrible white smoke,remove the rocker cover and check the rocker shaft has no loose mounting screws or cracks,this floods the rocker box with oil,engine draws in the oil and hence the smoke,dont know if this is your fault but worth a look,good luck
