Mend Samsung LE40R88BD Black White Turn Screen

samsung model le40r88bd, why is there no colour. just black and white. ?

when i turn on my Samsung model le40r88bd the screen turns on as normal, however there is no colour. only black and white.
when i put the tv in movie mode the screen then turns all colour pixelated.
is this a problem with the LCD or colour chip.
all help will be appreciated, thank you.

i add the same problem , if you dont want to spend about 40 pounds to buy another av board ( the one where you conect the hdmi , scart, component, and so one cables), then you have to short the eeprom, just google for it you will find loads of forums about it.
But my advice , just spend the money, open the back of your tv, check the number of your board , go to ebay and you should find a few boards being sold there, and your problem its solved, you also should check for blown caps on you other board , if they are just change them or buy that board as well , you probably will spend about 80 pounds , instead of buying another tv.
