How can i fix FSDs to last?

Have got aLeisure Rangemaster 110 and its 10 years old. Have bought and fitted 2 FSD and both have packed up after short while. What else could be wrong if Flame Safety Devices arent lasting? got them from a reputable dealer. Is there something major wrong. Help please as cooker is still very good condition Thanks Tess
