if they are going to helicoil it thyey can do it withut taking the head off i have done it a few times you need to make sure both valves are closed and its on tdc too then you cna tap it out using a tap with grease on it to pick up the line then screw the helicoil in the most imposrtant part is to make sure you break the driving tag off the helicoil with a magnet as this part is very hard metal and it would damage the engine, the ally swarfis not really a problem and little bits in there will just blow out the exhaust.i would charge about 25-30 to do it.sorry bb i wasnt getting in on your post mate just making sure he dont get ripped off here.ta adam

if they are saying a recoil it means the threads are stripped in the head.spark plug been put in slightly wrong and strip thread. Hmmm.. is it a big job.. well it means a head strip down recoil and popped back together. Prob about £200 from a shop or so. At the end of the day its up to you but my own view is that most chinese bikes are rubbish and I would say your throwing good money after bad. Sell it on ebay get what you can and buy a Honda (or a SYM)
