adam bike doctor ?

ive sorted the disk and electrics and have a few problems still, my wheel keep rubbing against the stand (no its not the stand) ive had the gear box to bits and back again ive checked the hub and the bearings in it they seem ok but my rod has some damaged treads but this was not the case a month ago could it be the barings that help the rod role in the gear box and may be the hub as well and if i bought new gears would they include the rod also my steering colum keeps working a thread or 2 loose now i only have 5 -6 bearings left at the bottom when i did it up i did it as tight as it could go so it was smooth could the disk have caused this ?
p.s how can i get the bearings out if i have to change them please

does the wheel move side to side when its all in place and tight if you hold it at the top and bottom with your hands? if not then i cant see any reason why it should rub the engine other than too big a tyre being on the wheel or a bent stand.the headrace bearings that go in the forks should be all in place none missing and greased with some waterproof grease(white) the forks can be taken out by removing the wheel and handle bars and taking the brake caliper of the forks and undoing the nuts that you keep doing up to tighten the bearings then you can fit new ones.dont put too many bearings in though this is just as bad as not enough if not worse!the lock nut should hold the bearing nut still if its done up tight and it should not come loose once the new bearings are fitted.dont do them up too tight though jp just enough to stop the knocking you get when they come loose if you do them too tight they will wear the bearing races out and make the steering stiff to turn.ok mate ps the warped disc may have shook them loose a bit :) get the bearings from (3 cross) its a peugeot dealer try 118247 for their phone number.good luck m8 ;)
