my old wet/dry vax does not suck well anymore?

my old wet/dry vax does not suck well anymore i have 2 of these orange beauties(the original wet/dry vax) and have tried both motors and hoses too no success. Do the motors need overhauld if so is there a step by step guide i can follow? thanks

i have heard these things called a lot of things,but never beauties,:-) it sounds like the fan units in the motors have blocked,common fault on wet and dry pick-ups,really only cure is to replace the motors,you could take them out and pick out the blockage with tweezers,a painfully slow job,the motors are a ballanced unit,so you cant take them apart,why you have to use tweezers,good luck
