my gilera dna 50 instrument panel goes crazy when i turn on my indicators?

Hi ive spent alot of money over the past few months tryin to get my gilera dna ready for its mot, as i brought it as spares or repair. The problem is the digital instrument panel goes crazy and keeps blinking when i put my indicators on, does anyone know what is going on? i appreciate any responses.

hi ive had my gilera dna 50 for about a year now and i have never had a battery that charges properly i have changed the stator plate, cdi unit, regulator and battery lots of times i have even changed the fuse connections could it be the relay as i have spent to much money on this and there must be another way it flickers on and off when the ignition is off the display stays on for about 30 mins then runs out of battery i am just fed up please someone help?

sounds like indicator relay needs a better earth, if the only symdoms are you indicators throwing you dash lights out of wak.

make sure the battery is in good condition and check all earth wires as this will cause all sorts of problems.
if these are loose or dirty it will cause a slight short.
this also includes the earth to frame make sure there is no paint between connector and frame.

so it was as i thought wolfy,get yourself a new battery they are only about 15 quid.and the speedo cannot be changed from kmh to mph after it has done 30 km from new i know this as i used to work in a piaggio/gilera dealers.

Maybe a button is stuck down on the display. Pull it a part out of the casing and plug it in. Mine is doing this blinking crap with a brand new battery.

hi charged my battery last night, and it was the battery as now it starts by electric start and theres no more flashing display, think my battery is not keeping charged though. So just leaves me with the task of turning the display from km/h to mph :(

Hi man,
I have exactly the same prob when I turn mine on. Then it sometimes gets into a mode where even I turn off the clocks it keeps ticking?

firstly has the bike got a good battery and does it start off the starter button?
