The boiler is working to an extent. When I call for Hot Water/heating it powers on immediately as usual. It then keeps turning on & off quite a few times until it actually lights. Once alight it only stays on for a while (5 mins or so) then turns off. The process then repeats
air tubes at top of boiler one will have splitin it pull off tube cut off 25mm and reinsert should run perfectly well then

i seen something similar to this a few weeks ago it turned out to be the air pressure switch worked at time getting worse week by week then finally failed is where i finally got to the problem. it would be a guess without looking at it good luck
