I also have an Indesit W123S washing Machine. It is the 2nd one of this model because the first one lasted 2 days and then would not wash because the programme selector knob kept turning! I subsequently had a new replacement delivered and now it has got exactly the same problem. I have had the 2nd machine for 3 years, although it started playing up at 6 months old (knob kept turning) but then got better and seemed to rectify itself so i didn't do anything about it. However, for the past 3 months it has started doing it again and is getting worse. It takes me 5 or 6 attempts after stoppping and resetting it to get it to work. I had a long argument with someone at Indesit Service/Repairs about this and said i suspected this was a common fault with this machine seeing as it has happened to me twice. In the end, the guy i spoke with admitted they were aware of this problem! I am now trying to gather as much evidence as possible to present to indesit to prove this is a fault on their part and not the consumer, and get them to pay to repair my machine. They had the cheek to ask me for £150 for someone to come out and repair the machine, which they said would require a new programmer. I am not going to pay them another penny and am so annoyed with them, i have decided to be a pain in the neck and not let this complaint go until i win!
Sorry i can't tell you how to reset your fault, but i suspect you can't anyway because Indesit want you to buy a new programmer for it. Good luck!
